EDISON, NJ – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Commissioner, Rich Ensor, has been appointed to a 4-year term to the new NCAA Division I Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee is designed to facilitate the process to appoint representatives to all Division I Council Committees (non-Council positions), all Division I committees (e.g., sport committees) and Division I vacancies on Association-wide committees. The Council shall be the oversight body with the responsibility to review and ratify the Nominating Committee's appointments. Ensor’s appointment will run through August 2019.

“I am pleased to be appointed to the newly constituted Nominating Committee which will be chaired by my colleague Judy MacLeod, the Executive Associate Commissioner/COO of Conference USA,” noted Ensor. “During my term I hope I can contribute in empowering the new governance system with a diverse and knowledgeable set of appointments to its various sport and operational committees.”

Ensor has been very involved in NCAA governance since 1999 when he began a four-year term on the NCAA Division I Management Council. During that period he chaired the Council’s Governance subcommittee. In 2013, he began a term on the NCAA Administration Cabinet. He is a former member of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee, a Past President of the Collegiate Commissioners Association and is on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, the Philadelphia Sports Congress and the Sports Lawyers Association. Ensor has served as Commissioner of the MAAC since 1988.
