EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) schedule continues into the middle of September highlighted by men’s soccer beginning conference play this week.

The action continues for men’s soccer this week with five non-conference matchups with three games on Tuesday, September 22 and two games on Wednesday. September 23. Siena starts the week on Tuesday, September 22 as they head to Teaneck, NJ to take on Fairleigh Dickinson for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff with the Knights. At 7:00 p.m., Fairfield welcomes Army to Connecticut. At 7:30 p.m., Quinnipiac heads to Queens, NY to take on St. John’s as they conclude their non-conference slate. On Wednesday, September 23, Iona hosts Yale for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff and Rider battles in-state rival, the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) for a 7:00 p.m. start. MAAC play begins on Saturday, September 26 with five games on the docket:

·         Siena versus Manhattan 1:00 p.m.

·         Rider versus Marist at 1:00 p.m.

·         Quinnipiac versus Saint Peter’s at 2:00 p.m.

·         Iona versus Niagara at 3:00 p.m.

·         Canisius versus Monmouth at 7:00 p.m.

Volleyball starts this week with three non-conference games on Wednesday, September 23. All three contests begin at 7: 00 p.m. Quinnipiac welcomes St. Francis Brooklyn to Hamden, Connecticut, Marist will host the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Rider will be at Fairleigh Dickinson. There are nine conference games spread out over Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. On Saturday, September 26, the matchups are:

·         Fairfield versus Quinnipiac at 1:00 p.m.

·         Manhattan versus Canisius at 1:00 p.m.

·         Rider versus Marist at 1:00 p.m.

·         Iona versus Niagara at 3:00 p.m.

·         Saint Peter’s versus Siena at 3:30 p.m.

On Sunday, September 27 the following MAAC schools face each other:

·         Manhattan versus Niagara at 1:00 p.m.

·         Rider versus Siena at 1:00 p.m.

·         Iona versus Canisius at 1:00 p.m.

·         Saint Peter’s versus Marist at 1:00 p.m.

Women’s soccer began conference play last week with Manhattan, Monmouth, and Siena earning their first conference wins of the 2015 campaign. The action continues for women’s soccer on Wednesday, September 23 with Fairfield on the road at Stony Brook with kick-off slated for 7:00 p.m. The next day, Thursday, September 24 Saint Peter’s welcomes Delaware State to Jersey City for a 3:00 p.m. start time. On Saturday, September 26 there are five conference games on the schedule:

·         Saint Peter’s versus Quinnipiac at noon

·         Monmouth versus Canisius at 1:00 p.m.

·         Manhattan versus Siena at 1:00 p.m.

·         Niagara versus Iona at 1:00 p.m.

·         Marist versus Rider at 7:00 p.m.

Rider is currently leading the way in the field hockey standings with a 6-2 record, while Fairfield sits in second place with a 3-3 mark. While conference play doesn’t start for field hockey until Friday, October 9, there are plenty of exciting matchups taking place this week. The first field hockey game of the week will see Quinnipiac host Holy Cross on Tuesday, September 22 at 3:30 p.m. On Wednesday, September 23 Fairfield faces Hofstra at 3:30 p.m. and on Thursday, September 24, Scared Heart heads to Columbia for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Lions. There are nine games taking place over the weekend with four games on Friday, September 25 and five games on Sunday, September 27. The games taking place on Friday, September 25 are:

·         Bryant at Vermont at 1:00 p.m.

·         Quinnipiac at Hofstra at 3:00 p.m.

·         Monmouth at Northeastern at 5:00 p.m.

·         Siena at Villanova at 7:00 p.m.

On Sunday, September 27 this matchups include:

·         Siena at Georgetown at noon

·         Quinnipiac versus Vermont at noon

·         Rider at Colgate at noon

·         Monmouth versus Albany at 1:00 p.m.

·         Fairfield at Providence at 1:00 p.m.

On the track this week, Fairfield is hosting the Fr. Victor F. Leeber, S.J. Invitational on Saturday, September 26 at 10:50 a.m. Marist cross country will be competing in the Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday, September 26, time TBA, in New Britain, Connecticut.
