Player of the Week
Megan Theiller – Fairfield

Megan Theiller was the Stags’ representative on the Fairfield Invitational All-Tournament Team after guiding the hosts to a 2-1 record at the event. Theiller led the Stags and ranked fifth among all players at the six-team tournament with 3.62 kills per set and a .258 hitting percentage. She added a team-high five service aces and ranked second on the Stags with 2.69 digs per set in 13 sets of work. Fairfield defeated Holy Cross and Boston College in day one action before dropping a four-set decision to two-time reigning America East Champion and 2015 AE preseason favorite New Hampshire on Saturday. Theiller posted a double-double in all three matches, starting with 17 kills and 11 digs in the four-set win over Holy Cross. She added three blocks, two service aces and an assist against the Crusaders. In the Stags’ highlight of the weekend – a five-set triumph over the ACC’s Boston College – she sent home 14 kills on .278 hitting with 11 digs, two blocks, an ace and an assist. Theiller capped the weekend with 16 kills, hitting a scorching .400 (16-2-35) to go along with 13 digs, a solo block, two aces and an assist
Libero of the Week
Kalehua Katagiri- Siena
Jr., LIB, 5-7, Kaneohe, HI/Kamehameha (Kaplama)
Katagiri averaged 4.1 digs in two non-league road matches. She registered 23 digs in a tight four-set loss at regional power Hofstra, anchoring a Siena defense that turned back the Pride’s potent attack. She also posted a perfect 1.000 reception percentage against Hofstra, receiving 27 services without a reception error. Katagiri then collected nine digs in a comfortable sweep of Hartford and had just one reception error in 22 chances. On the week, Katagiri totaled 29 digs and four assists with a stellar .979 reception percentage.
Rookie of the Week
Annie Stock - Siena
Fr., OH/RS, 5-10, Caroga Lake, NY/Johnstown
Stock averaged 3.3 kills per set in two non-league road matches this past week for the Saints. Her standout effort came at defending CAA champion Hofstra, where she tied for a match-high with 17 kills as Siena came up just short in four close sets against the Pride. Stock had six of her 17 kills in the Saints’ 25-21 set two victory and finished with an even .300 attack percentage on the outside. Stock ended the week with six kills and a block in a sweep of Hartford. Stock finished with 23 kills and a .228 attack percentage on the week.
