Eric Ebert

Men’s Swimming, Senior, Lewiston, N.Y./Lewiston Porter

Eric Ebert has taken on a strong leadership role with the Niagara men’s swimming team, both in the pool and in the classroom. Ebert set personal bests in the 50-yard freestyle (21.61) and the 100-yard backstroke (52.97) at the Zippy Invite in Akron, Ohio in December. The native of Lewiston, N.Y. also swam on the record-setting relay team that broke the Niagara program record in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the Zippy Invite. Along with Robert Brown, Nick Rogers, and James Crumm, Ebert helped set the new relay record at 3:07.21. In the classroom, Ebert has been incredibly successful as well, compiling a 4.0 GPA last semester in the biology program at Niagara. The only senior on the team this season, Ebert has been a great to help to a young swimming team that includes nine freshmen and five sophomores, helping them adjust to a collegiate training schedule and balance their athletic and academic requirements.
