Performers of the Week

 Men’s Track Performer of the Week

Bryan Sosoo, Monmouth

So., Laurel, MD/ Reservoir

At the Rutgers Invitational, Sosoo placed first in the 60 meter dash, with a time of 6.92.  Sosoo also finished fifth out of seventeen competitors in the triple jump, with a mark of 13.86 meters.

Men’s Field Performer of the Week

Tyree Adams, Rider

So., Hamilton, NJ/ Hamilton West

Adams was victorious at the Rutgers Invitational long jump event with a distance of 7.17 meters.  This performance also qualifies the sophomore from Hamilton, NJ to compete at IC4A championships.   

Women’s Track Performer of the Week

Tionna Garner, Monmouth

Jr., Trenton, NJ/ Trenton Catholic Academy

 At the Rutgers Invitational, Garner won the 600 meter race with a time of 1:34.17.  This performance gave the junior from Trenton, NJ a new school record at Monmouth.  In addition, Garner was also the anchor in the Hawks’ 4x400 relay team, who finished second in the event with a time of 3:55.49. 

Women’s Field Performer of the Week

Ashley Berry, Rider

Fr., Somerset, NJ/ Franklin

 Berry won both the weight throw and shot put events over the weekend at the Rutgers Invitational.  The freshman had an impressive showing as she won the weight throw with a mark of 15.10 meters and won the shot put with a throw of 12.13 meters.
