Wilson Offensive Player of the Week

Madie Gibson, Monmouth

R-Fr., D, Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May Regional

Madie Gibson continued her stellar play in Monmouth’s two games this past week with four goals and one assist. The redshirt freshman followed up a one goal, one assist performance in the 6-0 win at Rider with her first-career hat trick in the 5-0 win over Niagara. The Hawks improved to 5-0-0 in MAAC play for the second consecutive season. Gibson has scored a goal in five straight games and she now has 19 points (7G, 5A) on the season, which leads the Hawks and ranks second in the MAAC. Gibson is one of five players to appear in the starting lineup in every game this season.

Wilson Defensive Player of the Week

Olivia Myszewski, Quinnipiac

Sr., GK, Elm Grove, WI/Divine Savior Holy Angels

Olivia Myszewski continued her hot streak as the freshman keeper didn’t allow a goal, holding both Manhattan and Canisius scoreless over 167:51 of action of an undefeated 2-0 week. She wasn’t asked to do much as she tallied three saves for the week but her lone save in a 1-0 win over Manhattan came with less than 10 minutes remaining on a blast from 25 yards out that took an awkward bounce in front of the cage. The clean sheet was the second for Myszewski on the season. She again came through on Saturday as she notched two saves to keep Canisius off the scoreboard before exiting in the 77th minute with the Bobcats ahead 3-0. Myszewski has been the primary keeper for the Bobcats throughout the three-game shutout span which stands as the longest such streak since the 2012 season while the current scoreless streak of 296:47 ranks as the longest since the 2007 season where Quinnipiac pitched a shutout in 345:26 consecutive minutes.

Wilson Rookie of the Week

Amanda Knaub, Monmouth

Fr., GK, Enola, PA/Trinity

Rookie goalkeeper Amanda Knaub started in both shutout victories for the Hawks this past week. Knaub earned her sixth career clean sheet after she made two saves against Niagara. She now has a goals-against average of 0.22 and a 7-1-1 record for the year. Knaub’s 0.22 goals-against average leads the nation. Knaub has six shutouts on the year, which are the most for a Monmouth rookie goalkeeper since Lia Fierro had eight in 2007. Knaub has not allowed a goal in 4:10:35 consecutive minutes.
