Offensive Player of the Week
Meg Donahue, Monmouth

Meg Donahue registered seven points on two goals and three assists in a weekend that saw the Hawks jump out to a 2-0 start in MAAC play. The junior forward notched all three of her assists in Monmouth’s 5-0 victory over Siena before recording her second multi-goal game of the season and third of her career against LIU Brooklyn. Donahue recorded six shots on the weekend with half reaching target and two of the three accurate attempts finding the back of the cage.
Defensive Player of the Week
Caitlin Bennett, Fairfield
Fairfield, CT
The senior posted an impressive 14 saves in the MAAC opening win against Rider. Bennett made save after save to keep her team in the game and let in just one goal on 22 total shots. Then against Villanova she posted seven saves in the 4-1 win. With just one save at the half, the senior stepped up in the second frame making seven saves. Combined for the week the Fairfield native had a goals against average of 1.00 with 21 saves and a .913 save percentage.
Rookie of the Week
Josephine van der Hoop, Monmouth
Rotterdam, Netherlands, Wolfert van Borselen
Back in the starting lineup for both games last weekend, freshman forward Josephine van der Hoop scored on her one and only shot. The rookie scored Monmouth’s sixth goal of the afternoon in the eventual 9-0 win at LIU Brooklyn. This goal was Van Der Hoops fourth goal in five games.
