Khaghani led the Jaspers to second in the team standings at the UAlbany Invitational on Saturday. He ran 8000 meters in 25:11.7 to place third overall in a field of 90 runners.
Female Runner of the Week
Teghan Henderson

Iona senior Teghan Henderson’s placed first in the 6K at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. Henderson finished seven seconds ahead of the next competitor, crossing the finish line in 21:11.4. The victory marks Henderson’s second first place finish in three races as a member of the Maroon and Gold, with the former coming at the Brother Doyle Meet of Champions.
In the 22-team meet, Iona also took home the team victory, finishing with 91 points, placing ahead of Columbia (91), Maryland (111), Stony Brook (121) and Penn (133).
