Fairfield University Clinches 2016 MAAC Volleyball Regular Season Championship

EDISON, NJ – With a 3-0 win over Saint Peter’s University this afternoon, the Fairfield University Stags have clinched the 2016 MAAC Volleyball Regular Season Championship. This is the second straight regular season title for the Stags.
Fairfield University now sits at 15-0 in the MAAC and 22-5 overall and will serve as the hosts of the 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship at Alumni Hall in Fairfield, CT.
Opening round action for the 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship begins Friday, November 18 with the #3/#6 and #4/#5 seeded matchups. The semifinals take place the next day on Saturday, November 19 with Fairfield facing the winner of the #4/#5 matchup and the second seeded team taking on the winner of the #3/#6 matchup. The 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship Game is on Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m.
The winner of the 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship will earn an automatic bid in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
