Four Represent MAAC in NFHCA Senior Game

EDISON, NJ - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its rosters for their upcoming 2016 Victory Sports Tour/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior Game.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) will be represented by forward Ann Burgoyne and midfielder Julie de Paeuw from Fairfield University, as well as defender Casey Hanna and midfielder Alyssa Ercolino from Monmouth University. The NFHCA recognizes 50 student athletes (38 participants and 12 alternates). The game will be held on Sunday, November 19 at 2:30 pm at Old Dominion University.

Burgoyne (Blue Bell, PA.) tallied a total of 30 points for the Stags this season. She recorded 11 goals, eight assists, and she was the leading scorer for Fairfield this season. Burgoyne is the Stags all-time leading scorer with 121 points and 54 goals. The 2015 MAAC player of the year, de Paeuw (Chaumont Gistoux, Belgium) finished her senior campaign with 22 points, which is tied for second-most on the team. She scored six goals and tallied 10 assists.

The Monmouth duo of Ercolino and Hanna helped lead the Hawks to their third straight regular season title. Ercolino (West Long Branch, NJ) started all 17 games this season and finished second on the Hawks with 34 points. She registered 12 goals and 10 assists this season. Casey Hanna (Seaville, NJ), the two-time MAAC Defender of the Year also started all 17 games. Hanna tallied three goals and five assists for a total of 11 points this season. She was also tied for second on the team in defensive saves with three.
