Offensive Player of the Week
Julie Laszlo, Monmouth

Julie Laszlo scored twice over an eight-minute span to help give Monmouth a 4-2 win over Cornell in the non-conference finale on Sunday. The junior defender, who now has six goals on the season, scored what proved to be the game-winning goal off a corner in the 52nd minute before striking again in similar fashion in the 60th minute. Laszlo, who attempted a team-high five shots in the Hawks’ lone game this weekend, registered her first career multi-goal game.

The sophomore made her first career start against Big East foe Providence on Sunday afternoon. In her debut, he keeper faced a total 13 shots on net. By knocking 10 of them away she was able to manage a save percentage of .769%.
Rookie of the Week
Josephine van der Hoop, Monmouth
Rotterdam, Netherlands, Wolfert van Borselen
Freshman Josephine van der Hoop scored for the third time in as many games and added an assist in the Hawks 4-2 win over Cornell. The rookie opened the scoring 8:13 into the contest, firing a shot inside the near post off a feed from Gab Girardi. 32-second later, van der Hoop sent a cross of her own to Kelly Hanna who gave MU a 2-0 lead. van der Hoop, who fired four shots on the afternoon, three of which reaching target, has posted back-to-back three point games.
