2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship to Air on ESPN3

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today that the 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship (November 18-20) will air all five matches on ESPN3. Fairfield University will serve as the host of the 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship at George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall in Fairfield, CT.
First round play will take place on Friday, November 18, when three seed Quinnipiac University takes on six seed Niagara University at 5:00 p.m. The second first round matchup between four seed Rider University and five seed Siena College will follow at 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, November 19, one seed Fairfield University will play the winner of four seed Rider and five seed Siena in the first semifinal match at 2:00 p.m. Number two seed Marist College will take on the winner of three seed Quinnipiac and six seed Niagara at 5:00 p.m.
The 2016 MAAC Volleyball Championship Game will be played on Sunday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m. The 2016 MAAC Volleyball Champion will earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. The NCAA Volleyball selection show airs on Sunday, November 27 at 9 p.m. on ESPNU.
