Dove, Paolucci Earn Student-Athlete of the Week Awards

Dove earned All-MAAC honors after finishing 12th overall at the MAAC Championships with a time of 25:25.39. His 12th-place showing was the best individual finish by a Jasper since Tobias Lundgren was 10th in 2007. As a team, the Jaspers took fourth, their best result since 2009. Two weeks later at the NCAA Northeast Regional, Dove helped Manhattan post its highest finish since 2002, as the Japers finished 13th out of 35 schools. Individually, he was 72nd overall with a time of 32:14.11 over 10,000 meters.
He’s a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection in cross country, and he also earned MAAC All-Academic Team nods during the 2016 indoor and outdoor seasons. In addition, Dove was a finalist in the 1500 meters at the 2015 USA Junior Championships.
Jessica Paolucci

Sophomore Jessica Paolucci ended the 2016 season by reaching a landmark milestone in her short collegiate career donning the Maroon & Gold. On Saturday, November 12, she recorded her 1,000 career dig, becoming just the 12th student-athlete in Gael history to reach the career marker.
She ends the season with 498 digs, averaging 4.41 per set. In terms of the Iona record books, Paolucci moves into 11th place all-time with 1,306 digs career digs, and her 4.56 digs per set average sits third place all-time.
This year Paolucci ranks fifth in the MAAC in digs.
