Quinnipiac and Iona Ranked in College Insider Women's Basketball Mid-Major Poll

EDISON, NJ – Quinnipiac University and Iona College were both ranked in the first College Insider Women’s Basketball Mid-Major Poll of the 2016-17 regular season. The Bobcats ranked No. 7 in the poll and the Gaels sit No. 17 overall.
Quinnipiac moved up six spots from their previous No. 13 rank in the College Insider Mid-Major Preseason Poll. The six position increase marked the most of any team ranked in the Mid-Major Poll. The Bobcats are off to a (2-0) start with wins over Florida Gulf Coast (66-56) and Dayton (63-60).
Iona moved up one spot in the poll after their previous No. 18 rank in the College Insider Mid-Major Preseason Poll. The Gaels earned a win on opening day over Stony Brook (57-46).
The Bobcats will be back in action tonight, Wednesday, November 16, when they take on Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. The Gaels will also take the court tonight when they host Saint Joseph’s at 7:00 p.m.
