Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Justin Carey, Rider
Fr., 5’11”, Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove High
In a victory at Marist won the 100 yard back with a time of 50.21. Carey also placed first in the 200 back with a time of 1:53.26. He continued his victories in the 100 butterfly, touching the wall at 50.31. Carey also swam on the winning 200-yard medley relay.
Men’s Diver of the Week
Travis Wright, Canisius
Jr., 5’9”, Derby, NY/Lake Shore
Wright placed first in both the one- and three-meter diving events against Geneseo this past Saturday, October 29, with scores of 295.30 in the one-meter and 360.05 in the three-meter. Wright finished over ten points ahead of the second place finisher in the one-meter, while finishing nearly 75 points higher than the next competitor in the three-meter.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Isabella Morreale, Marist
Sr., 5’8”, Short Hills, NJ/Millburn
Morreale won both breaststroke events when Marist took down Rider, 186-109, on October 29. She clocked in at season best times of 1:06.33 and 2:25.68 at 100- and 200-yards respectively. Those marks are top in the MAAC so far this season. Morreale had a split of 29.43 seconds on Marist’s first place 200-yard medley relay squad. She also competed in the 100-yard butterfly.
Women’s Diver of the Week
Megan Berardelli, Marist
Jr., 5’3”, Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon
Berardelli earned spots on both boards at the NCAA Zone Qualifier Diving Championships this March with her scores against MAAC rival Rider on Oct. 29. When Marist took down the Broncs, 186-109, she racked up 277.05 points at one meter and 293.10 points at three meters. Berardelli’s total in the 1-meter dive was 6.37 points shy of the program record she set as a freshman in 2015.
