Men's Swimming & Diving, Junior, Chelmsford, MA / Chelmsford
A two-time MAAC Men’s Diver of the Week this season, Pires has had a record breaking year for the Stags. After setting personal bests during the first half of the season, he broke program records in both diving events in his latest outing. Topping scores that were set back in 2009, he scored 336.90 in the 1-meter and 327.40 in the 3-meter. Overall this season he has not finished below fifth place and has claimed the top spot seven times. The junior marketing major achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Fall 2015 semester and was named to the University’s Dean List.
Lauren D’Hont
Women’s Basketball, Junior, Pittsford, NY / Pittsford Mendon
The junior guard has played in all 20 games for the Blue and Gold this season, highlighted by a 16-point performance in a 68-57 win over Northeastern on Dec. 21. For the effort, D’Hont was named College Madness MAAC Madness Player of the Week. In a 54-42 win over Saint Peter’s on Jan. 15 she recorded nine points with a season high six rebounds. Overall, the junior is averaging 7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, with a 41.4 three-point shooting percentage. The chemistry health major has also excelled in the classroom, as she currently owns a 4.00 GPA.
