Wagner Ranked 20th, Marist 22nd in Latest Women's Water Polo Varsity National Top 25 Poll

The only thing constant at the No. 1 position in the Women's Varsity National Top 25 Poll is change as as the University of Southern California rates in the top spot of the Week 5/February 17 Poll.

USC (100 points), which downed former No. 1 the University of California-Los Angeles (96 points) in the title game of the University of California-San DiegoTriton Invitational to become a unanimous No. 1 selection, leads a Top 25 which experiences significant changes from the Week 4/February 10 balloting.

UCLA, which held a 98-to-96 lead over USC for the No. 1 position last week, slips back to No. 2 with the University of California (92 points) and defending National Champion/Preseason-to-Week 3 No. 1 Stanford University (89 points) holding firm at No. 3 and 4, respectively.

A 10-9 victory by the University of California-Davis (80 points) over former No. 5 Arizona State University permits the Aggies to climb into the Top Five.  TheUniversity of Hawaii (78 points), which was tied with UC-Davis at No. 7 last week, pulls into a tie with the University of Michigan (78 points)   at No. 6. Arizona State (74 points) falls back to No. 8 and the University of California-Irvine (66 points) sticks at No. 9 for another week.

The final spot in the Top 10 is shared by a pair of squads as San Jose State University (61 points) gains company from  Hartwick College (61 points).  Hartwick's rise places two East Coast teams in the Top 10 of the poll.

The University of the Pacific (52 points) moves up one place, while UC-San Diego (48 points) jumps six spots to No. 13 following its home tournament. 

Princeton University (46 points) and Loyola Marymount University (46 points) slide into a tie at No. 14, while Harvard University (42 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (37 points), Indiana University (36 points), San Diego State University (29 points) and Wagner College (26 points) back-up to rate at No. 16-to-20.

Long Beach State University (21 points) inches up to No. 21 with the duo of California Baptist University (12 points) and Marist College (12 points) tying at No. 22 to rate in front of California State University, Bakersfield (10 points) and California State University-Northridge (6 points).
