Tori Jarosz, Marist

Tori Jarosz set a new career high in points scored along with averaging 26.5 points per game, 14.5 rebounds per game, and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 63 percent from the field and 93 percent from the free throw line. In the Red Foxes first game of the week against Quinnipiac Jarosz had a game high 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting and 11 rebounds to go along with three assists.
The Red Foxes second game of the week saw Jarosz put in a career effort, leading the team past Fairfield with a game-winning layup with 1.8 seconds remaining. Jarosz led the Red Foxes with a career high 29 points on 11-for-17 shooting from the field and 7-for-7 from the free throw line to go along with 18 rebounds, good for her 22nd double-double of the year.
Rookie of the Week
Maria Welch, Canisius
Fr., G, 5-11, Erie, PA/Girard
Maria Welch proved to be one of the most dangerous players on the court for Canisius this weekend, averaging 20 points, 4.5 rebounds per contest and shot an accurate 40 percent from the field (15-30). In the team’s win over Manhattan, Welch paced the squad with 17 points, chipping in three rebounds and one block. She was accurate from beyond the arc draining 4-of-10. In the Griffs loss to Monmouth, Welch helped keep Canisius within striking distance she notched a career-high 23 points, took down four rebounds and added an assist in the loss. She is now averaging 15.2 points in the last six contests.
