Averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game last week for Manhattan while shooting 48.3 percent (14-of-29) from the floor, including 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from deep, and a perfect 100.0 percent (15-of-15) from the line with a pair of 20-point performances. On the year, ranks among the MAAC leaders in points (18.1 ppg-4th), free throw percentage (.857-3rd), three-pointers per game(2.7-5th) and minutes (37.1 mpg-1st). Also has 290 career three pointers and is just 10 shy of becoming the fifth person in MAAC history to join the exclusive club.
Joy Adams - Iona College

On Monday, Feb. 8, senior Joy Adams has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season. This year, the Preseason MAAC Player of the Year is averaging 14.5 points per game, 12.6 rebounds per game, and just over two assists per game. Adams is shooting 42.6% from the floor, playing on average roughly 32.7 minutes per contest.
Over the course of the past seven days, the Orlando, FL native averaged 15.7 points per game, 19.3 rebounds per game, 3.7 assists per game, 1.7 steals per game, and 0.7 blocks per game. Adams played an average of just under 37 minutes in the Gaels three wins, shooting 34.6% from the floor, and 90.9% from the free throw line.
On Monday, Feb. 1, Adams made history by becoming the All-Time Leading Rebounder in Iona College women’s basketball program history; she grabbed her fourth rebound of the game, the record breaker, her 1,431st career board, with 2:37 remaining in the first quarter.
Academically, Joy Adams has a 3.16 GPA, making the Dean’s List in spring of both 2014 and ’15. She is majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Security and Threat Assessment.
