Conference Play for Men's Lacrosse Begins Saturday

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s lacrosse conference slate begins this weekend with three games on the schedule. Conference play for women’s lacrosse kicks off next weekend. There are three MAAC men’s lacrosse matchups that all take place on Saturday, March 19.
· Siena versus Canisius at 1:00 p.m.
· Monmouth versus Marist at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN3
· Manhattan versus Detroit at 2:30 p.m.
Monmouth currently holds a 4-2 overall record while the Quinnipiac Bobcats are 3-1 overall. Hawks goalkeeper Nick Hreshko ranks second in the conference with a .533 save percentage. Quinnipiac’s Brian Feldman ranks fourth in the MAAC with 2.5 goals per game, and has 10 on the season.
Marist’s Joseph Radin, the 2016 MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Player of the Year, currently leads the MAAC with 17 goals, averaging 3.4 per game. His teammate, Brian Corrigan has a league best .613 save percentage. Canisius’ Jeff Edwards leads the league with 5.00 points per game. Detroit’s Mark Anstead is tied for fourth in the MAAC with 3.00 points per game. Two-time MAAC Rookie of the Week, Parker Giarrantana is second in the conference with 13 goals. Siena’s Tyler Pantalone ranks third in the MAAC with a .500 faceoff percentage and third with 3.80 groundballs per game.
