Quinnipiac's Tobia Earns Weekly Golf Honors

Freshman stand out Luciana Tobia led the Bobcats to a sixth place finish at the Lady Eaglecat Invitational at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida. Tobia recorded a T8 finish in the field of 74 golfers after shooting a two-round total of 156 (+10). Tobia's best round came on the second day after shaving two strokes off of her first round 79. Her two-stroke improvement came on the strength of a tournament-best four birdies, doubling her first day birdie total.
Tobia's performance led Quinnipiac to defeat MAAC rivals Hartford and Monmouth in the 14 team field. The Bobcats will be back in full swing this upcoming weekend in the Bearcat Spring Classic.
