Men’s Golfer of the Week

So., 5-9, Cinnaminson, NJ/St. Joseph’s Prep

Sophomore Kevin Kramarski led the Gaels with a T14 finish at the Wildcat Invitational held at the White Manor Country Club. Kramarski finished the first round with 76 strokes (+5), but his best round came when he recorded a 73 (+2) in the second round. His three stroke improvement moved him up 25 spots in the individual rankings to land him a T14 finish in a field of over 100 golfers. Kramarski was the lone Gael to register an eagle for the tournament.

The Maroon & Gold finished the Wildcat Invitational with a total tally of 614 (+46) to defeat MAAC rivals Manhattan, Saint Peter’s, and Rider.

Women’s Golfer of the Week

Luciana Tobia, Quinnipiac

Fr., 5-8, La Paz, Bolivia/IMG Academy

Luciana Tobia repeats as Women’s Golfer of the Week after securing a T8 finish to lead the Bobcats in their largest event of the season. The freshman finished the Bearcat Spring Classic with a three-round score of 232 for her second-best 54-hole total of the season. Tobia opened play with an 80 (+8) for the first round, but shed five strokes for the second round to shoot a 75 (+3) before firing a 77 (+5) for the third round.

Tobia’s T8 finish in the field of 100 golfers marks the fourth tournament that the freshman from Bolivia has secured a top ten finish. She currently leads Quinnipiac with a 78.44 average as the Bobcats look ahead to the Hoya Invitational scheduled for April 4^th and 5^th.
