EDISON, NJ – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s and women’s lacrosse teams look to finish strong over the final two weeks of the regular season.
In men’s lacrosse news, Quinnipiac defeated Detroit 12-6 to remain a perfect 3-0 in conference play. The Bobcats were led by MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, Brian Feldman and MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, Jack Brust. Feldman scored five goals and added three assists while Brust made 10 saves, allowing only four goals in a 14-4 win on the road at Detroit. Marist defeated Siena 12-6 behind four goals from Joseph Radin and 12 saves from Brian Corrigan in the net. Canisius came back from behind to beat Manhattan 13-11 behind a seven point (three goals, four assists) effort from Jeff Edwards. Manhattan’s Parker Giarratana earned Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after scoring a hat trick to go along with one assist against the Griffs.

· Marist versus Manhattan on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m.
· Siena at Hartford on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m.

In women’s lacrosse news, the Canisius duo of Erica Evans and Jourdan Roemer were named MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. Evans scored seven goals and two assists in the Griffs 19-3 win over Manhattan. Roemer wins the rookie of the week award for the second straight week. She had two goals and two assists for Canisus. Monmouth’s Caroline Huelster wins her third MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Award after making 17 saves in two wins over Manhattan and Quinnipiac.
