Senior Kyle Deisher repeats as MAAC Golfer of the Week after earning his first first-place finish at the annual Monmouth Invitational. Deisher shot 35 on the front nine before following up with 39 on the back to record an overall score of 74 (+3). His three-over-par 74 was good enough for a share of the leaderboard along with Fairfield’s Kevin Duncan. The Hawks tied for first overall with Fairfield (309), but claimed the team title after using the fifth non-counting score as a tie breaker.
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Sarah Kokotajlo, Monmouth
So., 5-3, Ewing, NJ/Ewing
Sophomore Sarah Kokotajlo registered a birdie on both the front and back nine as the top MAAC finisher in the Hawk Invitational. Kokotajlo’s score of 78 (+5) guided her to a T3 finish and was her third card in the 70s of the season. The Hawks finished in third place overall, only three strokes behind MAAC rival Hartford.
