Quinnipiac University Wins 2016 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Regular Season Title

EDISON, NJ – With its 8-5 win over Monmouth University this afternoon, Quinnipiac University has won the 2016 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Regular Season Championship. The Bobcats will host the 2016 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship in Hamden, Connecticut beginning on Thursday, May 5 as the number one seed.
The top four seeds compete for a chance to be crowned 2016 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Champions. With Quinnipiac University clinching the number one overall seed, the three remaining seeds are still yet to be determined.
Bobcats head coach Eric Fekete said postgame on ESPN3, “It was one of our goals from the beginning of the season to host the championship. I’m really proud of our group of guys.”
The two semifinal matches take place on Thursday, May 5 with the two winning teams meeting in the championship game on Saturday, May 7. Game times are TBD until the seeding is finalized.
