Canisius Claims its Second Consecutive MAAC Women's Lacrosse Regular Season Title

EDISON, NJ – Canisius College secured its second straight Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Regular Season Championship crown with its 16-3 victory over Iona College.
The Gaels improved to 7-0 in conference play and 10-5 overall on the season. Canisius will be the top overall seed in the 2016 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship and will host the semifinals and final at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, New York from May 6-8.
The remainder of the championship field is set and will include Fairfield, Iona, Marist, Monmouth and Niagara with seeds two through six still to be determined.
