Ryan Lynch

Lynch paced all golfers in the second day of the MAAC Golf Championships with a low score of 70 (-2). This performance at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course catapulted him into second place going into the last day of play. Due to his great success on day two the Jaspers took a five stroke lead into the last and final day.
On the third and final day Lynch recorded a score of 73 (+1) and helped the Jaspers to a second place finish in the tournament. He was not done there as he held the second best score, shooting a 217 (+1) to finish second in the MAAC Championships. Lynch’s success guided Manhattan to a school best finish.
Mary Kate McCormick

Senior attacker Mary Kate McCormick of Iona College’s lacrosse program has cemented herself as one of the most prolific scorers in Gaels history.
On Wednesday, April 20 against the visiting Manhattan Jaspers, McCormick set the single-season points record at Iona, recording her 69th point of the 2016 campaign. She would go on to tally three goals, five assists, three draw controls and four ground balls in Iona’s 18-8 home win at Mazzella Field.
At this point of the season, McCormick ranks top five in the NCAA with 43 helpers.
