Marist's Lozo and Quinnipiac's Kuwert Earn Weekly Tennis Honors

Lozo went 3-1 on the week to help the Red Foxes improve to 4-0 in MAAC play. Against Siena, Lozo defeated Rina Sakai at the number two singles spot in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2. In the Red Foxes victory against Monmouth, Lozo paired up with teammate Ariel Shulman to defeat Alexandra Graff and Maria Ivanova, 6-0. In addition, Lozo went on to defeat Graff in straight sets at the number two singles position, 6-0, 6-0.
Men's Player of the Week
Jonas Kuwert, Quinnipiac

Kuwert has been dominant on the court for the Bobcats recently, winning his last six individual matches. The senior from Jesteberg, Germany had his second straight 2-0 week for the Bobcats as he won in both singles and doubles play on Quinnipiac’s Senior Day versus Niagara. In the Bobcat’s 7-0 victory, Kuwert paired up with teammate Kei Ezaka at the number two doubles spot to defeat Niagara’s Brent Boleslav and Joseph Smithyman, 6-2. In singles action, Kuwert defeated Smithyman in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Kuwert’s performance gives him 20 wins this season, posting a 20-13 record overall.
