Jose Carrera, Manhattan

Had an absolute monster weekend in leading Manhattan to a three-game sweep of Saint Peter’s … Hit .600 (9-for-15) with six runs, five RBI, a double, home run, three stolen bases and two walks … Set the tone for the weekend in game one, going 5-for-7 with a career-high five hits, four runs, two stolen bases, a double and a RBI in leading the Jaspers to a decisive 16-8 win … In the nightcap, his eighth-inning walk drove in the eventual game-winning run after singling to start Manhattan’s game-tying two-run rally in the previous inning … Capped his big weekend by going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in the finale … After drawing a free pass in his first trip to the plate, Carrera crushed his first career home run in the third before singling in the fifth … The Miami native then broke the game open with a two-run single in the sixth … On the year, is hitting .294 with a team-high 41 runs, 60 hits, 17 doubles, three triples, a home run, 17 RBI, 18 stolen bases and 17 walks.
Pitcher of the Week
Sean Keenan, Marist

In an important game with MAAC Championship qualifying implications, Keenan delivered his best start of the season, taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning with six strikeouts. Overall, he threw eight innings and gave up one run on two hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts.
Rookie of the Week
Frankie Gregoire, Marist
Fr., OF/DH, 6-0, Simsbury, CT/Phillips Andover Academy
To help propel his team into contention for a spot in the MAAC Championship, Gregoire batted .455 (5-for-11) with a 1.182 slugging percentage and a.538 on base percentage to go along with two doubles, two home runs, two walks, four runs scored and four RBI in a three game sweep at Rider. He went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, a run scored and two RBI in a 12-4 win in Game 2 on Saturday, had a walk and a run scored in a 6-2 win in Game 1 on Saturday and went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, two runs scored and two RBI in a 4-1 win on Sunday. With the performance, Gregoire continues his streak of reaching safely in the last eight games and has gotten a hit in seven of those.
