NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Iona College lacrosse's captain and recent graduate, Mary Kate McCormick was selected to the IWLCA 2016 North/South Senior All-Star game. The game will take place on Saturday, June 4 at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA with first draw slated for 11:30 AM.
Several familiar faces were also selected to the North team including Taylor Giglio of Canisius and Danielle Maio of Niagara.
McCormick’s senior campaign ended with an All-MAAC First Team selection. McCormick led the league with a new Iona single season record of 45 assists. She also had 31 goals, and set a a new Gaels single season points record of 76; she was a two-time MAAC Player of the Week selection.
McCormick finished her stellar career with 100 Goals and 105 assists, placing her second all-time in Maroon & Gold history with 205 points. She was an All-MAAC Second Team Member in 2015 and the 2013 MAAC Rookie of the Year.
The IWLCA North/South All-Star Games for Division I, II, and III will have free admission for those looking to attend.
