Christian Vieira

Junior, Tennis, 5'11, Houston, Texas / Memorial

A Second-Team All-MAAC honoree at both No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles, Vieira clinched the Hawks’ improbable 4-3 comeback victory from down 3-0 against Quinnipiac in the MAAC Championship Match on Sunday. The junior won the third set against the Bobcats’ Luke Roser at No. 5 in a tie-breaker, 11-9, to send Monmouth to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. A political science major, Vieira has maintained a 3.8 grade-point average.

 

Krysten Van Natta

Senior, Softball, Infield, 5'6", Maplewood, NJ / Columbia

Kyrsten Van Natta registered her 200th career hit on April 30, and her 137 career RBIs are just two shy of becoming the program's all-time leader in that category. She is an outstanding all-around player who also excels defensively and on the bases, as she is 11th in the country in stolen bases per game. This year, she is hitting .372 with six homers, a team-leading 40 RBIs, and 37 stolen bases in 41 tries. She is a two-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team who is majoring in Communication/Sports Communication/Public Relations.
