Tuscan, AZ - 2016 MAAC Player of the Year Christian Santisteban (Miami, FL / Gulliver Prep) has been named to the Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger Division I All-American Third Team after an outstanding senior season.

"I am extremely proud of Christian and thrilled for him to be recognized as an All-American," said head coach Jim Duffy. "Four years ago, he came to Manhattan College wanting nothing more than an opportunity to play and now he leaves as an All-American with a degree in engineering. He is a tremendous example that hard work and believing in yourself can be very powerful."

The Miami native ranked among the league leaders in batting (.367-2nd), hits (76-1st), doubles (21-3rd), home runs (7-6th), RBI (46-3rd), OBP (.453-4th), slugging (.570-4th) and walks (30-7th).

Santisteban finishes his career sixth in school history with 220 hits and second with 63 doubles to go along with 16 home runs and 121 RBI and was a two-time All-MAAC First Team selection.

He is also the first Manhattan player to earn Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger All-American honors since Chris Cody was named to the Second Team in 2006.
