 Offensive Player of the Week

Alyssa Ercolino, Monmouth

Sr., West Long Branch, NJ/Shore Regional

 Alyssa Ercolino had a hand in all three of the Hawks’ goals in Monmouth’s victory over Kent State on Friday.  The senior scored twice, including the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute, and assisted on another to lead the Blue and White to the first 5-0 start in program history.  Ercolino, who also added a defensive save, increased her team-leading leading points total to 14 with her five-point performance.

Defensive Player of the Week

Julie Laszlo, Monmouth

Jr., Rotterdam, Netherlands/Rotterdams Montessori Lyceum

 Julie Laszlo worked both ends of the field to help lead Monmouth to its first 5-0 start in program history.  On the defensive side of the ball, Laszlo recorded her third defensive save of the year while also helping the corps weather 42 combined shots and 19 corner opportunities, while just yielding six goals against Kent State and 19th-ranked Iowa.  Laszlo also got into the scoring mix, notching her third goal of the year against the Golden Flashes, while adding her team-leading sixth assist of the year, setting up Ercolino’s game-winner against KSU.

Rookie of the Week

Daana Koch, Rider

Fr., M/F, Berkel, Netherlands

Koch, scored Rider’s only goal, and second of her season, in a 3-1 loss at Providence on September 11. Koch played 66 minutes and recorded two shots on goal in Riders 2-1 loss against Brown University on September 10.
