Connors, Trivellato Earn Student-Athlete of the Week Awards

Kristen Connors

Women's Soccer| Senior| Back| 5'5"| Clifton Park, NY|Shenendehowa

A senior captain for the Saints, Connors has left her mark both on and off the field at Siena throughout her four years. Last season, she was named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team after scoring twice in the Saints' Championship Match victory over Manhattan which earned Siena its second league title. She has appeared in 62 career matches (50 starts) and tallied 16 points while splitting her time between center midfield and center back. She scored both of Siena's goals - including the game-winning golden goal in the 99th minute in overtime - in a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Fairfield Saturday. Academically, Connors possesses a 3.47 cumulative GPA as a psychology major, while minoring in health studies. She has been named to both the MAAC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll in each year of eligibility. As part of Siena College's e-NABLE Chapter, Connors was one of eight students who this summer created a "Frozen" themed prosthetic arm for a local nine-year old girl which garnered the group numerous national recognition.

Redshirt Junior Marco Trivellato has started each of the Griffs nine games, holding a record of 4-4-1. The goalkeeper has recorded two shutout wins to begin the season, in home matches against Incarte Word and St. Bonaventure. The goalkeeper ranks second in the MAAC in save percentage (.816) and third in GAA (.086), saves (31) and shutouts (2) as of 9/23. An economics major, Trivellato currently holds a cumulative 3.94 GPA.
