Offensive Player of the Week
Megan Theiller, Fairfield
Jr., OH, Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay-East Fishkill High School
Megan Theiller earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Crusader Classic, as the Stags needed just 13 sets to post a 4-0 mark for the weekend. The junior led Fairfield with 4.00 kills per set, adding 2.38 digs per frame in the back row. Theiller hit .290 on the outside, totaling 52 kills with just 12 errors on 138 swings. She reached double figures in all four matches, including 16 finishers in the 3-1 win over UMass Lowell. Theiller registered a double-double in the Friday sweep of Bryant with 11 kills and 11 digs. She capped the weekend with 13 kills on .429 hitting (13-1-28) in a straight-set win over Holy Cross. Theiller filled out her weekend statline with three assists, four service aces and one block.
Libero of the Week
Mallory Bechtold, Fairfield

Mallory Bechtold helmed the back row as the Stags put together a 4-0 weekend at the Crusader Classic. The Fairfield libero averaged 4.38 digs per frame, racking up 57 total digs in 13 sets of work. She reached double figures in all four matches, including a weekend-best 18 digs in the four-set win over UMass Lowell. Bechtold rounded out the weekend with two service aces and five assists.
Rookie of the Week
Evelyn Shanefield, Rider
Fr., MB/RS, Drexel Hill, PA/Upper Darby
Shanefield continued a strong start to her collegiate career by averaging 1.15 kills per set and 1.23 blocks per set as Rider went 2-3 this past week. Shanefield began the week with three kills and six blocks against St. Francis Brooklyn in the home opener on August 31 as the Broncs won 3-1, playing only two sets against South Carolina State on September 2, Shanefield had five kills and four blocks while attacking .300 as Rider won the match 3-0. Shanefield added five blocks and three kills against defending Patriot League champion Navy on September 3 as Rider completed competition at the UMES Courtyard by Marriott Invitational.
