Kentrall Brooks has been a leader on and off the floor for the Marist men's basketball team throughout his career. One of two captains on this year's team, Brooks has had some of his finest moments as a senior. On Dec. 2, 2016, his career-high 17 points and first career double-double (10 rebounds) propelled Marist over Niagara in its MAAC opener. A Criminal Justice major, Brooks is a MAAC Academic Honor Roll and MAAC All-Academic Team honoree who was named to the NABC Honors Court last season, and was Marist's nominee to the Allstate NABC Good Works Team this year.
Kayla Grimme
Women’s Basketball|Junior|Center|6’2”|Altoona, PA/Altoona Area
Grimme averaged 13.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in Manhattan’s home games against New Hampshire and Siena. Against New Hampshire on Wednesday night, she recorded a team-high 12 points while also pulling down eight rebounds. Grimme went 5-for-8 from the field against the Wildcats and also tallied two steals. She then posted her second double-double of the season in the 68-66 win over Siena on Friday night. Grimme registered 14 points and 10 boards in the game, and she helped ice the victory by going 4-for-4 at the free throw line.
