Senior Andrew Tavcar is one of the leaders of a young Fairfield squad. The Mechanical Engineering major holds a 3.21 overall GPA and was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team last season.
This season, in the pool, he has posted personal bests in three events. Back on October 21, he swam the 100m breaststroke in 1:10.28 and the 100m freestyle in 56.30. More recently he set a new personal best in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 25.42 on January 14. During his last competition, his best finish came in the 50y freestyle where he finished third with a time of 29.29 in a tri-meet with Wesleyan and Connecticut College.
Lauren D’Hont
Women’s Basketball | Senior | Guard | 5-11 | Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon
Canisius senior Lauren D’Hont has appeared and started in all 21 games for the Golden Griffins this season, leading the team in offensive rebounds and steals, while ranking second in field goal percentage and rebounds per game. On November 22, the Griff notched her career-high in points with 22 in a 95-74 loss at St. Francis.
A two-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team, D’Hont started all 30 games for the Blue and Gold during the 2015-16 season, setting a new career-high in points per game at 7.6.
The biochemistry major currently posses a 3.99 cumulative GPA.
