Brianna Robinson scored the first goal of the game and then the go-ahead goal in the second half to lead the Red Foxes to a 2-1 victory over Niagara University on Wednesday, October 18. The win was the Red Foxes’ third-straight and helped them secure a first round bye in the 2017 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Taylor Dorado, Siena

Taylor Dorado earns her fourth MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season, which is a new single-season program record for Siena. She recorded her sixth clean sheet of the season in the Saints’ lone match last week, a 1-0 road victory at Rider University on Wednesday, October 18. Siena clinched the No. 4 seed and a first round bye in the 2017 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship. The Saints were outshot by a 19-5 margin in the match, but Dorado stopped all 11 shots she faced to post the shutout for the Saints, which will head into the postseason as winners of six of their past seven matches. The double-digit save effort was Dorado’s third of the season.

Bayley Sullivan had a career-high two assists in Niagara’s 4-0 victory over Iona on Saturday, October 21. In the Purple Eagle’ (1-1) week, Sullivan also totaled two points, three shots, and one shot on goal in 71 minutes of play.
