Quinnipiac's 2017-18 schedule has the Bobcats set to face four schools who're either ranked or in the 'others receiving votes' category in the College Insider preseason mid-major poll. The Bobcats will face the ninth-ranked mid-major Central Michigan (Dec. 21) and 19
th-ranked Princeton (Dec. 9) as well as Marist twice and Hampton (Dec. 3).
Less than one week after receiving 27 points in the USA Today Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll (program record for most votes in national USA Today preseason poll), Quinnipiac continues to gain recognition following what was a historic 2016-17 campaign.
The top-ranked mid-major program according to the College Insider Poll, Quinnipiac returns a load of talent from the historic 2016-17 squad including the MAAC Preseason Player of the Year
Aryn McClure (Springfield Gardens, New York) along with 2017-18 All-MAAC Preseason First Team selection
Jen Fay (Lynbrook, New York), 2016 MAAC All-Tournament
Paula Strautmane (Riga, Latvia) and 2017 MAAC All-Tournament standout
Carly Fabbri (Stratford, Connecticut). Backed by two-time MAAC Coach of the Year
Tricia Fabbri, the unanimous MAAC Preseason Favorite figures to be in contention for a second consecutive MAAC title this season.
