Rider's Molloy, Marist's Goldman & Canisius Pair of Wright & Mroz Earn Swimming & Diving Awards
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Georgia Goldman, Marist
Sr., Douglaston, NY/The Mary Louis Academy
Goldman helped lead the Red Foxes to a victory over Rider this past weekend as she posted season best times. In the 200-medley relay her split time of 27.28 helped Marist grab the first place finish in the event. Goldman also posted first place finishes with times of 59.17 in the 100-back, 55.03 in the 100-free, and 25.11 in the 50-free.
Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Zack Molloy, Rider
Sr., Toms River, NJ/Toms River North
Molloy had a terrific outing in the pool against Marist this past weekend, recording first place finishes in the 50-free and 100-free as well as being a part of the 400-free relay that took first place. His time of 45.66 in the 100-free was fast enough to break his own pool record.
Women’s Diver of the Week
Vivian Mroz, Canisius
Jr., Denver, CO/Bronxville
Mroz placed first in the 1-meter dive with a score of 255.70, as well as scoring a 248.3 in the 3-meter. Her effort on the board helped Canisius grab a 127-116 victory over Geneseo.
Men’s Diver of the Week
Travis Wright, Canisius
Sr., Derby, NY/Lake Shore
Wright took home first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive during this past weekend’s meet with Geneseo. In the 1-meter, Wright posted a score of 351.8 and a 369.6 in the 3-meter, both of which outscored the second place finisher by more than 20 points.
