2017 MAAC Volleyball Championship to Air on ESPN3

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today that the entire 2017 MAAC Volleyball Championship is set to air on ESPN3 for the second year in a row. The championship takes place November 17-19, from George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall on the campus of Fairfield University.
 
“The broadcast of the entire volleyball championship on ESPN3 is another step forward in the conference’s relationship with the network, as the MAAC aims to reach a milestone of 300-plus telecasts this academic year,” notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor.
 
Fairfield hosts the MAAC Volleyball Championship for the second-straight year. First round games take place on Friday, November 17, semifinal games are on Saturday, November 18, and the championship game is Sunday, November 19. JJ Duke and Allison Gaskins are the on-air talent for the entire championship on ESPN3. The winner of the championship earns the league’s automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Volleyball Championship.
 
“Fairfield University is honored to serve as the host of the 2017 MAAC Volleyball Championship and broadcast the tournament on ESPN3,” said Fairfield Director of Athletics Paul Schlickmann. “We look forward to a great weekend of volleyball and providing a high-quality production for our viewers.”
