MAAC Announces 2017 Field Hockey All-Academic Team
EDISON, NJ – A total of 62 student-athletes were named to the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Field Hockey All-Academic team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Sacred Heart University placed a league-best 12 student-athletes on the All-Academic team while Bryant University placed 11 student-athletes on the All-Academic team. Fairfield and LIU Brooklyn had 10 student-athletes honored and Monmouth University had nine student-athlete honored. Rider University placed seven student-athletes on the All-Academic team and Siena College rounds out the All-Academic team with three student-athletes.
