Canisius guard Isaiah Reese became the first Golden Griffin in the program's 114-year history to record a triple-double to help lead the Griffs to a 104-84 win over Youngstown State Saturday night. Reese posted a career-high 23 points, dished out a career best 11 assists and matched a career-high with 11 boards as Canisius earned its first win of the season.
Reese is the first Division I men's player to record a triple-double this season.
For the week, Reese averaged 18.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game as Canisius went 1-1 with a road loss to Air Force and the home win over Youngstown State. In two games, where he averaged 31.5 minutes per contest, he shot 48.1 percent from the floor, 53.3 percent from 3-point land and went a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. He also averaged 2.0 steals per game while recording a 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio in two contests.

Allen averaged 15.0 points per game on 47.6 percent (10-21) shooting from the floor and 53.8 percent (7-13) from long range in the Broncs’ 1-1 week against No. 17 Xavier and Hartford. He also added 3.5 rebounds per game. He began the week with 14 points, primarily on 3-of-6 from deep and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line to go along with four rebounds in 23 minutes in a 101-75 loss at No. 17 Xavier. He then went for 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-7 from long range, to go along with three rebounds, two blocks and an assist in an 89-53 victory over Hartford. For the year, Allen is now averaging a team-best 17.0 points per game, while knocking down 48.0 percent (12-25) of his three-point attempts.
