Red-shirt senior forward Victoria Rampado led Niagara in scoring and rebounding en route to a (1-1) weekend at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout. Against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, Rampado recorded her second double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds. In the Purple Eagles’ victory over Louisiana Tech on Sunday, Rampado tied her career-high with 27 points and also had a team-high six rebounds. On the weekend, she averaged 23.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. She shot 53.6 percent from the field and 93.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Rookie of the Week
Jaiden Morris, Rider
Fr., G, Richmond, VA/Monacan
Freshman guard Jaiden Morris averaged 12.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest in three games for Rider last week. She scored a career-high 17 points at Seton Hall and followed that up with 14 points against East Carolina. For the week, she shot 31.0 percent (14-of-44) from the field and 75.0 percent (6-of-8) from the free-throw line.
