Four MAAC Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes Earn All-ECAC Honors

DANBURY, CT – Four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) women’s soccer student-athletes earned All-ECAC honors, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
 
Quinnipiac University red-shirt Freshman forward Kelsey Goldring claimed the 2017 ECAC Division I Rookie of the Year award, while teammate junior forward Nadya Gill was an All-ECAC honorable mention. Monmouth University sophomore goalkeeper Amanda Knaub and senior midfield Miranda Konstantinides were also recognized. Knaub was tabbed to the All-ECAC First Team and Konstantinides received an All-ECAC honorable mention.
 
Goldring was named the 2017 MAAC Co-Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-Rookie Team. The forward finished the season with the eighth-most points in the league (18) and most among all freshmen. The red-shirt freshman registered five goals and eight assists in 19 games. Goldring ranked tied for fourth in the MAAC in assists, and tied for second in game-winning goals (three). She earned MAAC Rookie of the Week honors twice in 2017 (September 18 & October 2).
 
Gill earned All-MAAC First Team honors after she led the league in points (34) and goals scored (13). She was tied with the fourth-most assists in the conference (eight) and registered the most shots (78). Gill tallied four multi-goal games in 2017, including a hat-trick against Saint Peter’s University on September 16. She was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week twice in her junior campaign (August 21 & September 18)
 
Knaub claimed the 2017 MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year award, was named to the All-MAAC First Team, and United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-East Region Second Team. She posted a league-high 11 shutouts, which were the most in the MAAC since Hawks’ Ashley Lewis recorded 12 in 2013. The sophomore led the conference with a 0.88 goals against average, ranked fourth with a .796 save percentage, and fifth with 74 saves. She was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week three times in 2017 (September 4, September 11, October 2).
 
Konstantinides earned All-MAAC First Team honors and was selected to the All-Championship Team this past season. The senior notched a pair of goals in 18 games for the Hawks, including the game-winner against Niagara University on September 16.
