Maddie Sims has played in all nine games for the Saints this season coming off the bench and averaging 10.4 points per game. The sophomore has now scored 16 points in a game three separate times, including tallying 16 in the overtime win against Colgate. She played in all 30 games her freshman season and recorded a .386 field goal percentage. She has pulled down eight rebounds on three separate occasions in her two-year career.

Men’s Swimming & Diving
Men's swimming senior Daniel Dirrigl, who holds a 3.81 gpa as an accounting major, helped lead Canisius to a split with Binghamton on Dec. 2. The men's squad knocked off the Bearcats, 168-132, to win their fifth straight meet and improve to 5-1 on the season. Dirrigl took home first place finishes in the 200 medly relay, 200-fly (1:54.14),100-fly (51.78), and the 200-Free relay events.
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to action Jan. 20, when the Griffs host longtime rival Niagara. That meet, part of the Battle of the Bridge series between the two schools, will be held at the Burt Flickinger Center pool in downtown Buffalo. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
