MAAC Announces Week 2 Indoor Track & Field Awards
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Jessica Lee, Quinnipiac
Sr., Montgomery, NY/Montgomery
Jessica Lee finished first in the 60-meter dash, with a time of 7.66 at the Yale Season Opener. In the 200-meter Lee placed second overall with a time of 25.18, which was the best in the MAAC for that event.
Men’s Track Performer of the Week
John Dove, Manhattan
Sr., Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury
John Dove beat out 10 other runners in the 3000-meter run at the Yale Invitational this past weekend. His time of 8:28.84 was a personal best and is top in the MAAC for the 3000-meter.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Karoline Sandvig, Rider
Sr., West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor Plainsboro HS South
Karoline Sandvig held the top mark for the MAAC in the Weight Throw. She recorded a 57’3.75” this past weekend at the Princeton New Year’s Invite.
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Corey Murphy, Monmouth
Yaphank, NY/Longwood
Corey Murphy finished as the top collegiate performer at the Princeton New Year’s Invite in the shot put with a throw of 59’4.25”. That distance was top in the MAAC by over five inches.
