Hoskova & Taylor Named Student-Athletes of the Week

Women's basketball
Senior Kamila Hoskova scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting to help the Rider women's basketball team beat visiting Vermont, 64-49. Hoskova scored in double figures for the sixth game this season thanks to a perfect 4-of-4 showing from the free-throw line. Through seven games, she leads the Broncs in points per game, free-throw percentage and rebounds.

Men’s Basketball
The 6-4 guard/forward is averaging 7.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game for the Peacocks. Taylor is the team leader in total rebounds and steals on the year and ranks top 10 in the MAAC in both categories. The Amarillo, Texas native ranks fifth in both total rebounds and defensive rebounds, sixth in offensive rebounds, and fourth in steals. Additionally, he is the lone Peacock to record a double-double this season, having already registered two.
In the classroom, Taylor is a Criminal Justice major who holds a GPA above a 3.6, which earned him a spot on the 2016-17 MAAC Academic Honor Roll this past summer. He also serves as a representative on the Saint Peter’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
