Sophomore forward Aryn McClure led Quinnipiac University to a pair of wins over Marist College, 79-57 and Siena College, 76-60, two teams both seeded in the upper half of the MAAC standings. She dominated early and often, to the tone of two straight season-high scoring outings as she notched 16 points against Marist and followed with a 21-point performance at Siena. Averaging 18.5 points per game over the 2-0 week, McClure was efficient from the floor going 16-of-33 (48.5%) overall, while hitting the first three-pointer of her career (missed first 22 career attempts).
McClure’s 16-point game against Marist included five rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 27 minutes of play. Her top performance of the season came in the Bobcats’ road win over Siena as she notched 13 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter, while reaching the 20-point plateau for just the second time in her career (one point off her career-high). The Springfield Gardens, NY native scored 13 of the Bobcats’ 16 points in a span of 6:33 in the final quarter. McClure has been named MAAC Player of the Week for the second time this season (last, November 14).

Reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week Rebekah Hand averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 assists in a two game week for the Red Foxes. Hand shot 42.3 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from three, and was perfect from the free-throw line (4-of-4). In Hand’s first game against first place Quinnipiac, the guard scored 13 points, grabbed five rebounds, and swiped three steals. In her second game of the week, she notched her third double-double of the season scoring 19 points to go along with 11 rebounds against Niagara University. Hand also added an assist a block, a steal, and knocked down five three pointers against the Purple Eagles playing all 40 minutes of the game.
