Offensive Player of the Week
Riley Hellstein, Fairfield
Sr., A, Feeding Hills, MA/Agawam
The senior posted 12 points off 11 goals and an a assist, while also adding nine draw controls, five groundballs, and two caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Stags. In the tight loss to Columbia, Hellstein led the offense with four goals. Then in the 19-14 win over Hofstra, she had a break out game scoring eight total points with seven goals and an assist. On the day she also grabbed seven draw controls, three groundballs, and was credited with one caused turnover.
Defensive Player of the Week
Natalie Bonaroti, Marist
Sr., M, Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel Area
Bonaroti had a career-high seven caused turnovers in Marist’s first win of the season, a 13-9 victory at Vermont, on February 25. She also collected three ground balls and had a hat trick in the second half. Against No. 7 Stony Brook on February 21, Bonaroti registered a goal, two shots, and a caused turnover. In the two games she had five points, six shots, three ground balls, and eight caused turnovers. She also scored on her only free position shot of the week.
Rookie of the Week
Alexis Deaken, Siena
Fr., M, Orangeville, Ontario/The Hill Academy
Siena College freshman midfield Alexis Deaken recorded one goal in each of the two game this week. She also dished out an assist against Colgate. On the week, she picked up one ground ball, had one draw control, and caused one turnover.
